Antshares in short are a smart contract blockchain platform, similar to Ethereum. In fact, in many ways, it is Ethereum built with many of the functions that one expects from a Smart Contract platform. Except for one huge difference.
Antshares is from China, developed by Chinese companies for the Chinese market. It has built-in regulatory support for Chinese businesses which is huge. And sadly, all of the information is in Chinese. Investing in ANS is a bit like a religious experience. You buy because you believe in the idea, and realize that there is no way you will get a complete picture.
Some important points to note:
- Flexible programming options (supports more coding languages than ETH) - C#, Java, VB.NET, F#, Javascript, Python

- Holding Antshares generates Antcoins. I have no idea what Antcoins will do.
I believe in China.
Imagine Ethereum with access to the giant Chinese market. Imagine a cryptocurrency which has support from the Chinese government and all of the lovely ICOs that will be powered by ANS. The Chinese are fiercely proud and tend to invest emotionally in their own properties.
This is the future that I am investing in.
This the future that will hopefully be heralded by the June 22nd event.
On June 22nd, Antshares will:
- Rebrand Antshares. This will introduce Antshares to a new generation of crypto investors, and hopefully inspire local developers to embrace Antshares over ETH.
- Announce their Smart Contract 2.0 Platform - IPOs, Portfolio Management, Transfer of Claims, Asset Management
- Release a new platform - SmartBase
- Announce a new strategic partner (hopefully on part with Microsoft and Alibaba)
Antshares was named as one of the top 50 Companies in Fintech in China by KPMG - https://assets.kpmg.com/content/dam/kpmg/cn/pdf/en/2016/09/2016-china-leading-fintech-50.pdf. It is pretty clear that they are a substantive company with a lot of reasons to succeed.

I think ETH will still have a place for a long time coming. ANS will service the Chinese market, and everything that entails. ETH will probably have to fight it out with RSK soon, as Bitcoin maximalists fight to get control over "blockchain" back. The first field of battle will be CIVIC. Their ICO is on ETH, but once RSK is out, they will convert their coins over to RSK - a smart contract wrapper around BTC.
Why the hell not - right??
Maybe not the best reason to buy something. But in light of what we know about ANS versus other coins that have mooned, it's not a bad investment all in all. Especially with the announcement in three days.

Yeah or Kraken would be great but I don't see that happening to soon. They are pretty slow. Even Shapeshift would be good.
