As you all know, IEOs are the currently trending token sale methods. The most interesting question on any IEO you might want to participate in is, of course, the performance. So let's take a closer look at that.
Note: All ROI numbers are based off USD value.
Luckily, @ico_analytic provides a convenient overview of major IEO platforms and their top IEOs to start from.
In the following article, I'm going to examine this list top to bottom, and try to spot any patterns that might give us hints on future performance.
First of all, we're gonna need some data, so here's a quick overview:
Binance
- BTT: x10.83
- FET: x2.41
- CLR: x2.90
- MATIC: x9.81
- ONE: x8.19
Apart from FET and CLR (which have their own set of problems), these numbers appear to be very similar - all x10-ish.
OKex
- BLOC x3.90
- ALV x2.40
Only having hosted two IEOs so far, OKex confirms this pattern - all IEOs got around the same ROI.
Huobi
- TOP x4.12
- NEW x1.79
- TT x1.42
Huobi's first sale went pretty good, the other two sucked. Hm. Found an interesting article as to why.
KuCoin
- MTV x1.15
- TRY x2.45
- CHR x1.95
- COTI not trading yet
The first launch wasn't very exciting, but the following launches show an uptrend (including COTI, seems to be very hyped).
BitMax
- DOS x1.16
- DUO x1.80
BitTrex
I'm not interested in exchanges that steal people's money.

Apart from FET and CLR in the Binance chart, it becomes quite obvious that the delta for valuation is surprisingly small:
Conclusion
All in all, it can be said that usually, IEOs on specific platforms seem to behave rather similar to comparable IEOs on that same platform. This confirms my assumption that the platform an IEO is hosted on is a major factor in the coins valuation, and I urge everyone to consider past IEO ROIs when deciding to participate in any upcoming IEO.
