Just saw this Bright Insight vid where he mentions the Djed and thought I'd share.
I then came back here to read your entry again and did a Google search and found this which is interesting, looks like there's some ancient pictures elsewhere involving similar looking objects.

What does it mean? No idea. But it looks like the new images appear to be from America and also connected to serpents. Interesting weird stuff.. The plot thickens.. And gets deeper it seems? Wish I knew more.
That was an interesting video. I think it can be quite challenging to interpret symbols accurately as it can be very easy to project ones own ideas and biases on the image. Especially when we are just speculating at their meaning. This can lead to some interesting and sometimes wild interpretations. There is also the fact that ancient Egypt is shrouded in mystery which is in many ways serves a sort of gimmick that builds an allure about it. The mystery of Egypt is essentially a multibillion dollar industry Lol. Mystery is what sells the idea of Egypt to people and it offers endless possibilities and theories to speculate about (books, videos, articles, movies, tourism, merchandise...etc all rely on Egypt's mystery). I do like to get lost in the wonder of it myself but I know that there is no definitive answer that can be found, so it's all just for fun.
It's also interesting to note that the symbols (hieroglyphs) are not only language but also art as well. The symbols themselves change significantly over time as each new artist adds their own flare to them. The symbols change and become more elaborate as each new generation builds upon the story of their predecessor and adds their own unique interpretation to it. There is also the tendency of the new pharaoh who comes along to deface their predecessor and replace the stories with ones of their own. Thats why a lot of the faces of carvings are removed or large swaths of hieroglyphs chiseled away. That's a Pharoah erasing the name and story of someone else. This was the case with the Pharoah Akenaten. He actually altered the entire Egyptian religion by doing away with the many Egyptian gods theory and replacing them with one single god - "Aten." The artwork of his time period is vastly different then all of the artwork before him - visually and in meaning.
The stone pillars in the video are interesting. Personally I wouldn't think that there is a chamber below the temple. To me what's more likely is that they are just the foundation of the temple itself. A temple that size would need footings to keep it level and from sinking in the sand over time, just like and building that we build today. But again, mystery sells. The tour guide probably makes a few extra bucks telling tourists a story about a hidden chamber being kept secret by the Egyptian government. He shows them the footings and everyone is in awe at the mystery of what could be below. The tour guide goes home with extra money and the tourists go home feeling like they witnessed something magical that they can tell their friends about. Everybody wins. People will always believe what they want to believe so the more vague you can make something the easier it is to convince them. It's all magic.
I really dont know what any of the stuff actually means. I can only guess like everyone else. But it is fun to speculate and to imagine what it could mean. thanks for sharing the video and article. They were interesting. What are your thoughts on them?
