The Universe

The ever growing and expanding Universe. For many centuries philosophers and scientists have been curious and argued amongst one another about the vastness of the Universe. At the early stages the theory considered was the Earth was stationary and the Sun revolved around it. With the invention of optical lenses and telescopes planets started being discovered within our Solar system which is just a small peck in the vast Universe.

Scientists determined that all the planets of the Solar system actually revolved around the Sun at a particular orbit because of the gravitational pull and relativity amongst the masses of each other. With advancement the curiousity of the farther stars in the Universe began to be discussed, these small looking dots looking so small, some infact many hundreds of times larger than our sun. The most advancement on the study of the Universe began in the 20th century when the theory of expandition of the Universe was discovered and Einstein's famous theory of relativity which stated the Universe is expanding or contracting at all times.

Further more discoveries of the Blackhole within the Universe were made a dense block of matter which sucks all masses near it and it is still not clear what actually happens to the mass sucked within the blackhole. NASA one of the leading space exploration organizations are searching for planets with similar habitats like the Earth to expand the human specie so which may become a necessity in the future. A Space Venture to where a robotic shuttle was sent to take pictures of Pluto was successful and the end resukt was just mesmerizing.

There is still so much to be learned about the Universe and it's vastness. The possibility of other life forns and planets similar to ours cannot be neglected. We'll wait for whatever lies ahead.

Sort:

It is great that we have been expanding our knowledge outwards, and in turn diminishing the centralness of our own existence! It really is a sign of growth!

It is kind of a double edged sword there are pros and cons.
