Digital ID is bad, enabling us to be tracked and herded like the chattel we are to overlords. Biometric digital ID is intolerable, because that makes our DNA, fingerprints, eyescans, and other metrics easy for hackers to steal from crappily secure giant databases, and once our biometric data is stolen, we can never, ever change our password to escape the fraudulent use of our data. We can't change our DNA, fingerprints, or etc.
Today you can buy the biometric data of half of the people of India for ~$80k. For ~$80k any criminal can buy houses, take out loans, or do any number of fraudulent crimes posing as more than half a billion people.
I do not want to be one of the victims of such crimes. I will not use biometric ID.
