A super use case! Though there is one major problem. Every company selling products and services to the children (parents), teachers and administrators shall accept HIVE. Until that doesn't happen, the economy flow is not in the 'circle' it needs to be in. And to be realistic, this use case will not happen any time soon, due to too many businesses required to embrace this HIVE K12 token.
But you are on the right track, in terms of trying to come up with use cases that involve earning and spending using this new token. Best is to look for more or less closed micro-economies. Think of all the loyalty programs run by brands. They give tokens and they accept them for some gift. Think of communities in the physical space who are more or less self-sufficient.
I think, best is to start with something simple. Like here in our HIVE ecosystem. Where do we have a webshop with a noreml user experience where we can buy many goods and services we want on a daily bases using HIVE? I don't know any, but love to advise on what could be done.
