Had me looking at the scheduling in my life and how I'll be so happy when I retire in a year and will no longer have to watch the clock!

Seems to be a current or tendency of sorts. Many of my friends and family also either start anew in the next few weeks or have one more year to go before they start something new (retirement, moving, building something big).
