Today I would like to tell you about one project, the creators of which plan to revolutionize the world of crypto investments and raise funds for the development of new blockchain startups.
Let’s think of what are the ways for crypto startups to attract capital, because they need funding for successful development. They are ICO, IEO, search for private or venture investors. What are faults with these methods and why do they need a replacement?
Drawbacks of investing in startups
Initially, the ICO model has helped many useful and revolutionary startups, such as Ethereum or Binance, however, this model also deprived hundreds of thousands of investors of their funds. So, let's admit that at the moment the ICO system has outlived its usefulness and mainly scammers use it.
Taking this into consideration, we can admit that even an honest project that wants to raise funds through the ICO is bound to fail, because people will not trust it.
IEO, in which the exchange acts as an intermediary when tokens are bought and sold, got lots of hype last winter/spring with a large-scale IEO BTT tokens on the platform Binance Launchpad.
However, its popularity is also decreasing sharply.
Many tokens do not collect even a hard cap during a few months of their placement.
After the sale is over, the rate of this tokens falls rapidly and this does not allow investors to earn and so on.
In addition, young startups usually have to pay quite large amounts of cash to make the trading platform become their intermediary to distribute tokens at the platform.
Well, the search for private investors is usually quite an impossible task for young companies to carry out, because such companies cannot prove these very investors that their product is beneficial and valuable.
But the main disadvantage of all these methods is that after a sale ends, a startup receives the entire amount of money and can spend it unevenly, due to its inexperience or because project management may take some fraudulent actions towards money received. Besides, after all the funds are collected, the startup may not actually keep the promises initially made to investors.
This is the exact reason why modern methods of attracting investments, such as IEO and ICO are losing their popularity among the investors.
IMO is a completely new model of raising funds from the MOEX exchange
But IMOEX exchange offers a unique concept that will help newly appeared blockchain startups sell their tokens to investors and raise funds for further development but not starting to look unreliable to the community and preventing uneven or illegal waste of the collected funds.

This model is called IMO – Initial model offering.
This method uses such an approach when fundraising is not conducted only one time but with a larger number of stages.
It is usually 365 rounds on the IMOEX exchange.

A small amount of tokens is sold on each of these rounds, for example 3-5% of the total amount.
So this is all about the startup receiving funds gradually. This already eliminates any possibility of fraud, for example, when the startup management just runs away with all the collected bank. On this exchange, the funds are immediately frozen when they are credited to ensure gradual payouts to the startup.
It will also help very young companies and their executives, who may unevenly spend the funds raised and thus let investors down.
Moreover, the startup management must build their work even more carefully now, because they have an actual responsibility to investors. If their project will change its main direction of activity, severely delay the working processes or realize completely different programs from what were stated in the announcement or Whitepaper, then investors will simply refuse to further finance the developing project.
This IMO model is not a concept, but a ready-made working plan for effective raise funds that is already successfully applied on the IMOEX exchange.
