For 3 days now, no posting for me on hive; the only way I can communicate on hive is by comments. I cannot make any posts and I do not understand why.
The less important problem:
I use 8 tags, as I always have, but now I get a message that 'only 8 tags are allowed' and I have to reduce them to 7 for the warning message to go away. (I can live with this problem, the next one is what has stumped me).
As soon as the "submit" page opens, I have this message:
Must end with a letter or number
....and the Post button stays gray.
I have attempted to make a post, double-checking the title is ok, the tags are ok, and then, the article/message itself.
I cannot see that I am doing anything wrong, and it means I now cannot post at all on any of my hive accounts.
Here is a visual example of what I see:
Anybody know what is wrong?
Hi there!
I would try to write only one tag and hit the Post button, to try and see if it has to do with tags or not. I am not sure how many are allowed on hive
If you need extra help, drop over their discord someone will help our for sure :)
Thanks.
As soon as I open the 'submit' page, I get the message "Must end with a letter or number" (in Red), so the number of tags is not the problem.
As for discord, I never use it, just as I never use FB or twitter, which is why I had to come here to ask for help (I did ask a couple of the 'big' names who are witnesses, but got no reply for them).
I've been using the esteem app. It works great both on my laptop and cell. You might give that a try if your problem persists.
Thank you for your suggestion.
I do not have or use a smart phone, so no apps for me. Plus my OS and browsers are not the latest, as I do not trust them. I've posted on steemit and now on hive for 3 years and never had a problem, o I am confident it is not some stupid mistake of mine.
Anyway, I wish you all the best and thanks for contacting me (hmm...just wondering, did you actually land that fish on your own?)
:)
Surely someone who is doing the coding must know enough to advise me or to fix it if it is a hive problem? I am already (basically) making my posts for the love of it, not for money, complicating it for me is discouraging, while any problem not fixed will surely affect others also?
Ahh bummer. Hope you find the help to get it figured out. Yea, that's a pic from an offshore fishing trip a few years back. I worked on a sportfishing boat for a couple seasons too.
Wish I could help as I have never posted through Hive blog I don't have any knowledge of the issue.
I'm glad to see you...was wondering how you are, but have been busy struggling to learn to create websites with all the complications I've added it is quite a challenge. When I am close to making it live, maybe I can send you an url for you to see and let me know what you think.
I know the Tasmanian Devil sexual habits sound weird...has it affected any locals?
Your problem is that the one tag is already the community tag you are posting to (top left which is the primary tag when that is the cas) if you remove the community tag then you get 8 tags below. Community tags are reduced from the overall tags you are left to for you to use. the left seven for you to chose than can be typed at the appropriate area below.
Hope that helps.
Thanks. The problem has now disappeared - it accepts all 8 tags and the other message has disappeared; the layout also changed back, no longer splitting the page for posting and seeing as I post - as it was in the image above. I'm glad.
Hows it going on here?. Just joining in the fun.
Fun...FUN!!!!
You do not know that it is a dirty word and not allowed?!!
Actually, I am glad to see your comment, as I have been wondering how the family is.
Just for you my chosen dad https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=64&v=wVs5AyjzwRM&feature=emb_logo
