Tokens
We recently added the LGN and DRIP tokens the Index! The LGN token is a non inflationary utility token for the BRO economy and the DRIP token is focused on investing into gamefi projects with high expected growth and returns.
Rewards Tracking
We implemented the new rewards tracking system just over a month ago and now have a months worth of data to start implementing changes based on rewards for each token and their assets. As the tracking system continues, it will continue to give us a better picture of the earnings and rewards the Index account receives.
As part of the rewards tracking, our voting system is also improving each day with the rewards it sees. Each token that can be voted with is viewed and tracked individually against the account to better create as much rewards through voting as it can. The voting rewards will take the longest as any change takes 7 days to see rewards and, at minimum, another 7 days of tracking rewards to see the difference that the change made.
Website
Minor changes are continuing to be made on the website to better improve reporting to anyone that wants to see it. The biggest upcoming change will be the holdings page. It has been rebuilt to load much faster as well as simplify the view on each token (Right now it looks very complicated if you do not know what you are looking at). Below you can see a preview as to how it will look:
You will easily be able to see each token, its balances, assets (if any), APR (if any), and the current value of the token in both HIVE and USD. Each token with asset(s) will also have a dropdown option (the little arrow on the left), which will dropdown to show you all of the assets that token has as well as their balances, APR (if any), and value.
The Richlist page has been updated to show the Market (current sale price) and Holdings value of the tokens held by each account. We also streamlined the loading and displaying of balances for each account so you no longer see an account with 100.00000000 balance and instead just see 100.
Splinterlands
The Index account has held Splinterlands NFT Cards and rented them out in the past. We are seeing that the returns on the rentals are well below our goal. Moving forward, we decided it would be best to sell the cards and invest the earnings from the sales into the Liquidity Pools (LP) in Splinterlands. Each LP is earning 25-45% APR currently, which will greatly increase the overall earnings and returns of the INDEX itself. This means more rewards for holders!
Blog Posts
We are currently building a list of blog posts that we feel would be beneficial to INDEX holders. Right now our goal is to have at least 1 post a week or 4 a month. These 4 will be an Earnings post, Holders post, Market post, and a Monthly post. Each blog post will have its own topics that it will cover. We are currently building these and defining the topics they will all cover. These posts may change over time depending on the need/desire for them.
Server
We are finally up and running on our new server with no hiccups during the changeover. This server also allows us to runs our own local hive-engine as well as account history nodes. These will open up in the future to the public to allow ease of use for anyone needing access to that information.
We are consistently examining everything within the Index and looking to see how we can improve it overall. Our largest focus currently is ensuring the rewards are consistently increasing over time so that we can reward everyone that buys and holds onto the INDEX token.
I only recently discovered Index and want to say a big thank you to the team. It has brought simplification to my HIVE investment approach.
