Conduent Incorporated is a NYSE listed digital interactions company has announced it's launch of Conduent Blockchain Hackathon. It's first global hackathon series will take place in Bangalore, India.
It has partnered with HackerEarth, which deals with enterprise software talent management and the series aims to strengthen Conduent's investments in blockchain technology innovation according to their release.
Devs across India especially in the IT hub of Bangalore will get an opportunity to participate in the series. The first phase was kicked off on the 12th of April and the 2nd phase will be held in June 22-23.
The participants stand to win prizes of up to INR 6,00,000 (6 lakh Indian rupees) with the top solution being awarded a prize of INR 3,00,000 (3 lakh Indian rupees). Following the India event, the next phase of the series will be to host a similar virtual event across the U.S. that culminates in a live event in Raleigh, N.C.
The Conduent Hackathon has been curated around the following themes:
- Incentive systems for social behavioural change
- Blockchain for a shared economy
- Smart properties
- Transparent interactions with the Government
- Delegative voting systems

Such initiaves are good for techies as they get opportunities to learn and showcase their skills. Unfortunately our govt is doing nothing to promote such talent. Hope to see many more Such events in many cities in India..
