Dear Leaders of Opposition parties in India, if you feel it is impossible to take on NDA, BJP and Modi in 2024, than this is what you should brainstorm for your best option ahead:

  1. NDA got around 45% votes in 2019 General Election, there are still 55% people who did not vote for NDA but for some other parties.

  2. Dissolve your individual parties, and get together and make a new front... name it whatever. You are still individually strong in your area, you have local leaders and some of you are still running governments in various states.

  3. Identify a national leader with an excellent charisma, with good oratory skills... Shashi Tharoor could be one option, Sachin Pilot another, and so on. One who can take everyone along and comes without any baggage of corruption or court cases, as that individual will be the target of NDA.

  4. Identify leaders to represent North, South, East, West and Center. Example: Rahul Gandhi for South, Mamta for East, and so on.

  5. Plan for next assembly elections, e.g. Maharashtra and Haryana in 2019, Jharkhand, Bihar and Delhi in 2020, and West Bengal in 2021.

  6. Provide a new narrative to the country rather than speaking against Modi as it is not selling with the people, and is doing more harm than benefit.

  7. Test your strength in the upcoming polls may be in legislative assembly, municipal or panchayat elections. Slowly and steadily build yourself towards your target.

  8. Connect with the youth, understand unemployment, and other issues national issues such as agrarian distress, and raise these issues through meaningful campaigns/ dialogues.

  9. Your tested mettle will help you in 2024 elections in which you will improve your numbers but still won't be able to easily defeat NDA.

  10. Continue your work and hope to get elected with majority in 2029.

For a healthy democracy, power is good, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. Think about it with a pinch of salt but that is the only way, going forward. As a concerned citizen, whereas I rejoice NDA and Modi coming back to power in 2019, for a better future of the country, there needs to be checks and balance in place by a strong opposition.

Jai Hind!!!!
