Good morning steemians,
And a happy Republic day to all my fellow indians here on steemit.

Today on 26th Jan 1950 the constitution of India came into effect by replacing the Govt of India act and we honour this date as our Republic day.
We were a British colony exploited for over 200 years.India's share of world income was only 3.8% in 1952 compared to a huge 22.6% in 1700 but now at the turn of the 21st century we have emerged as the largest democracy with a demographic advantage of its young workforce. This is 2018 and we are in a phase of strong makeover from the past 20 years or so.Our impression of a nation which is depressed with poverty and its mystical tradition is slowly diminishing.Yes we are now an emerging economic power which the world eyes on.India is now a leading destination in information technology and other services which are outsourced thanks to the benefits of globalisation which other countries couldn't utilize properly.
India's judiciary and law is respected and it has become a favourite destination for foreign direct investment by jumping over 40 ranks in the list of countries with ease of doing business. As a result we will be witnessing a global shift of capital investment over the coming decades.
India has started believing in itself and has awakened to life by holding a strong political and military stature.

We are a nation with ample resources, workforce and favourable climatic conditions for industries and agriculture ,though rigid labour laws remain a hindrance.
India has been one of the least affected by the 2008 global financial crisis and the recession that followed. The economic growth slowed down a bit,but not as much .The govt also paid off nearly $15 billion debts of small farmers to banks.
The road network in India has improved dramatically in the last decade, contributing to better mobility and development.
Developing public transport in large cities in India was a tough challenge with low private vehicle ownership and high demand.

As of today the biggest challenge in front of us is the social development.Healthcare and elementary education are still mostly ill-equiped and poorly funded. However there is a significant increase in the budget allocation in these sectors.
There are a few sensitive and deep rooted issues in India thanks to a legacy of ill treated caste system, widespread corruption and the influence of business and other interest groups on public policy making. We are one nation, but many worlds.

Dear fellow indians, the path is clear, stars are now aligned perfectly, lets march together with a faith in destiny. It is now upon the young brigades of this ancient Indus civilization to regain our lost place in this world.

Jai hind!
And keep steeming guys.
