Disinilah tempat dimana M Hatta dan para delegasi Indonesia menandatangani perjanjian Konfrensi Meja Bundar. Konfrensi ini menyatakan bahwa Kerajaan Belanda mengakui kedaulatan Republik Indonesia Serikat sebagai negara merdeka dan sederajat, Republik Indonesia Serikat bersedia membayar utang luar negeri Belanda sebesar 4,3 milyar gulden, status Papua Barat ditentukan setahun setelah penyerahan kedaulatan.

Ridderzal berada di kota Den Haag. Ridderzaal sendiri merupakan kastil berarsitektur gothic.
Dibangun pada abad ke -13.
