This pest animal looks simple, but do not try with him because the bite is very painful and feels very hot, and it can last ten hours. Some types are more extreme because the bite marks will form a strange hole in the skin, it's chemical and parasitic ingredients are also ground viruses left on the skin.
Common name: diaprepes root beetles
scientific name: Diaprepes abbreviatus (Linnaeus) (Insecta: Coleoptera: Curculionidae)
Species Entomogenic Nematodes (Rhabditida: Steinernematidae; Heterorhabditidae)

Diaprepes abbreviatus is a pest within the group of leaf-eating beetles and is feared by farmers because it can adapt bad condition as well as adaptation to pest toxins so that it is invulnerable. In America and Europe, these animals are capable of destroying apple and grape farming fields.

Body structure, Mature Beetles vary between 0.95 to 1.90 cm (3/8 to 3/4 inches)

Food, Diaprepes abbreviatus eat leaves and roots of plants. In sporadic attacks, the tree will show no leaves survive. This pest is also very fond of eating plant roots. Usually their nests on the ground (where the root of the tree grows).

Reproduction, Diaprepes female abbreviatus beetles can accommodate 5,000 eggs in the ages of three to four months. Eggs are placed in groups of 30 to 265 and covered in leaf that has been folded and glued together. In seven to eight days, the neonate larva emerges from the egg, then leaves the cluster and falls from the leaves to the ground. The larvae then enter the ground and look for and eat the roots. After a few months, the larvae pupils mature on the ground and become mature.
