Reproduction, Diaprepes female abbreviatus beetles can accommodate 5,000 eggs in the ages of three to four months. In seven to eight days, the neonate larva emerges from the egg, then leaves the cluster and falls from the leaves to the ground. The larvae then enter the ground and look for and eat the roots. After a few months, the larvae pupils mature on the ground and become mature.
