Things I learned the hard way playing Splinterlands

First and foremost please understand that I am in no way an expert or even an advanced gamer in Splinterlands or any other play to earn game. I am a relative noob overall in the crypto space. Having said that, I do believe that we are all ahead of the curve in terms of universal adoption of Web 3.0

First lesson I learned the hard way is regarding rentals, more specifically rentals made as a result of watching certain videos on YouTube. Don't get me wrong, YouTube is an amazing resource....if you are fortunate enough to find solid channels that are giving information relative to the current market and prices. I would watch older videos that would talk about the "perfect decks" and the cards in those decks were out of my price range, so I would rent them. I used to rent tens of thousands of Collection Power (CP) simply for the Daily Quest. Each and every quest. So the main take away, is due to my lack of understanding, I wasted money that could have been better spent purchasing cards.

Lesson #2 could actually be lesson #1.5. Either way, it goes hand in hand with lesson #1. Utilizing the in game rewards and the cards received from opening packs and leveraging them for maximum CP, especially now during the final months of the SPS Air Drop.

The final and most important lesson I learned (well, that I will list on this post) is finding quality sources of information and support. There are hundreds of channels on YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, Odysse, just to name a few. Dwayne Cunningham (@infidel1258) has been a life saver for me. I am finally a member of a quality in game Guild and is super interactive in Discord. Find someone that has what you want or represents your beliefs and goals both in game and in life.
