Using the military to supplement curfew laws? Emptying prisons? Arbitrarily putting people out of work? Enforcing home arrest on the rest of us. When did we become Venezuela? Time Out. Time for the authoritarians to take a breather. My cost-benefit analysis on shredding the Constitution and destroying our economy is concluded. The bankruptcies, suicides, divorces, broken families, foreclosures, extended recession, and downstream problems are not worth the cost of saving the last 25,000 victims of COVID-19. Sorry. Time to get back to normal as best we can. Wear your masks. Keep washing your hands. Protect the vulnerable as best we can. But back to work or school for the rest of us. Support your local businesses who had to close. Be charitable. But get this economic engine going again!!!

But there are plenty in the middle content to do what they are told in the name of medical safety, when, in fact, everything is a tradeoff and the actions being taken now will have profoundly adverse consequences later.
