Speaking of criminals..how would you fasten a gate shut, like we're putting in a gate on our driveway but I don't want to just put a little padlock on that could easily be cut with bolt cutters. Maybe a thick cable?
Sir smithlabs! Yes I've been studying security items and I found out they do have chains that are dang near impossible to cut($10 to $20 a foot) and also padlocks which can't be cut with bolt cutters(also dang expensive).
I agree though, a camera is the best deterrent, I just came to that conclusion last night. I watched interviews with 2 professional thieves telling what would scare them away. The only thing that would always scare them away was a working camera.
You didn't ask if they were expensive, LOL! I still like the electric gate Idea, kind of fitting; that is where they are headed eventually (electric chair) anyway.
I like a Visible camera, with a hidden backup. That way, when they shoot the visible one, you know what you have coming!
OH Come on, they tell me you don't even Have a mind....
But the biggest criminal minds live in DC!

I guess I should learn from them!
Learning is good, except for learning criminal activity, LOL! Politicians have zero to teach anyone....

Mount it on wooden posts, and electrify the lock and gate. They also have round locks that won't cut. But cable is good to....
Best protection is a remote camera on the gate.
