Julian Assange in prison tonight while the wars he revealed rage on

“Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence and thereby eventually lose all ability to defend ourselves and those we love.” — Julian Assange

The recent arrest of Julian at the Ecuadorian Embassy last week is a topic still fresh off the press, considering it was the first big move in the case for seven years. Before that Julian sat there under a type of self-imposed house arrest or asylum, much like the bitcoins of a “hodler” in a digital wallet, awaiting the time they matured in price so that they could be cashed out for a large profit.

Or you could say Julian sat there like the bitcoins in Satoshi’s wallet, unmoved for all this time – Satoshi’s wallet has been full of bitcoins since the inception of the digital currency nine years ago, and still to this day they just sit there for everyone to see on the open ledger of the bitcoin blockchain. Possibly billions of dollars worth by now, just waiting to be cashed out. But where is Satoshi?

And where is Julian Assange? He has presumably been in British jail all this past week. As if sitting inside one house for seven years is not enough of a punishment already. In that regard I heard a really bizarre theory from a friend recently who likes to stay informed about these matters. He tells me – I have no references to back up the theory – that he remembers Julian Assange being abducted from the Ecuadorian Embassy a few years ago already. One day some black vans pulled up outside the Embassy and the men in black went in and illegally – at that time – carried him out covered up, and drove him off in the van never to be seen of or heard of again. This was followed by the prompt removal of the 24 hour British police surveillance outside the Embassy. At that time Julian’s Twitter feed went silent too, though not before he sent out some cryptic Tweets for help.

And then a little while later, his Twitter feed was back up as if nothing was wrong and all was as it was before. My friend who told the story to me also reckons that all the Wikileaks staff were changed too and that the entire saga has been a charade since then. The person carried out of the Ecuadorian Embassy last week was not Julian Assange but an imposter or double, planted to fool the world into believing that he was still there when in actual fact he was abducted years ago and possibly killed or worse.

This is of course a gigantic conspiracy theory and may be due to an overactive imagination. I may do some more research into the history of Julian’s incarceration at the Embassy when my internet returns to a stable state. Do any of the readers remember such a historic narrative from a few years ago? Knowing the way that the political forces behave, I wouldn’t be surprised if this fable were true, though I refrain from actually deciding either way just yet. Let’s just go with the popular narrative for now, which is bad enough.

There is no limit to the underhand underworld behavior of the PTB (powers that be) in our world, so anything from a false flag attack to a fake news story is perfectly acceptable in the world of the secret service and the spy vs spy war going on. In a sense World War 3 is already underway and is a cyber war at present. We had the cold war, and now we have the cyber war and the propaganda war for the minds of the masses. That is where the global showdown is taking place. There is a lot of mud-slinging the way of Russia – the Red Peril has been the go-to bad guy for decades.

Nobody has pointed the finger at China yet, except perhaps in the trade war. So there we have a third theater of war unfolding on the planet as we speak. These battles, along with the currency war, are all being fought by one country against another, in a dog eat dog showdown for the ultimate prize of top dollar or global reserve currency, now that the gold standard has been abolished. It’s a rat race that has morphed into an arms race and now is unfolding into a space race to rule not only the skies – as in World War 2 – but now the need is there to rule the space around planet Earth. That is where our telecommunication satellites are positioned, and without those there is no internet or communication really.

Some have an “iron dome” defense system in place to intercept ICBMs and other rockets, where the stratosphere needs to be monitored for incoming nuclear warheads from the likes of North Korea or Iran allegedly. So the war is going on, and has been for basically all my life, since my birth during the Vietnam chapter back in the sixties. And it hasn’t stopped yet. America has been at war for more years of its 200 plus years of existence than it has been at peace, and has certainly been at war for my over 50 years of life. Either it’s the cold war or it’s the war on terror or the more clandestine invasion of some small South American or Middle Eastern country for its resources. The opium poppies of Afghanistan were impossible to resist.

Even my own nation of South Africa was at war throughout my childhood against its own people in the criminal Apartheid regime of the previous tyrants. There was military conscription for all young men and regular trips for soldiers to fight on the border, which meant Namibia, Angola and Mozambique back in those days, over twenty years ago. I refrained from military service by using my wits at that stage, being a pacifist or peace activist, until conscription ended. And these are not new issues because humans have always waged war against each other, one tribe or nation against its neighbor.

War is as much a part of our life on earth as peace. It may seem bad to us living here today but facts may prove that it was worse in previous centuries and may actually be more peaceful today than it was say 100 years ago or more. The only concern now is the fact that there are so many more people on the planet suffering the effects of the wars of their leaders. So statistically there may be less warfare but literally there are more victims by sheer weight of population growth in this numbers game. So I’m cautiously optimistic that we may still have some hope for a peaceful future.

The planet is now like Nelson Mandela was during his last days on earth. I remember the news reports coming out when he went into hospital a few years ago here in South Africa. Everyone was concerned for the “father of the nation” and so the news announcements would come out saying he is “critical but stable”. That is how the planet is today – critical but stable. What it means is anybody’s guess. Such is the African way of telling you that you destination a thousand miles away is not too far now, so that they can send you marching off to an excruciating future with a sense of hope and optimism, rather than pouring gloom and doom onto what, in truth, is really an excruciating distance away.

Perhaps they like to send you Hell in such a way that you look forward to the journey, or maybe Africans just prefer to soften the blow – “critical but stable” – he’s about to die but he’s fine. Our economy could be seen in the same light now too, perhaps even the entire world economy – critical but stable. That has been the outlook for the past decade actually, since the last financial collapse in 2009. Sometimes to get out of a recession all you have to do is redefine the parameters of what a recession is, rewrite the rules and then it all looks fine again on paper. In that sense we never really emerged from the emergency ward, we just changed the labels on the doors.

Wonderful post. Thank you for taking the time to write it. Your writing style is delightful.

About "critical but stable" I believe we are on a verge for a macroscopic change and getting closer day by day. I don't think it will be world war III yet but it will be "pre-ww3" meaning a circa 10 year long time span when we can either fix the non-sense currently ruling our life and society or we perish.

Call me crazy but I'm longing for this to happen. This "hang on" feeling is excruciating.

Thank you for your kind feedback. You may be crazy and you may be right too. The times we live in are enough to drive one crazy with uncertainty and insecurity.
