RE: President Trump has been impeached for Nothing; by domestic enemies of our Republic!

in #informationwar5 years ago (edited)

As a wild guess, a few decades from now you’ll probably still be fuming at how unkind history has been to Donald J Trump.

I have no idea where Trump supporters came up with the idea that Articles of Impeachment are supposed to have any relationship to the criminal code.

If anything, Trump got off easy with only two Articles of Impeachent. Andrew Johnson’s 10th Article reads like it could have been written with Trump in mind:
“That said Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, unmindful of the high duties of his high office and the dignity and proprieties thereof, and of the harmony and courtesies which ought to exist and be maintained between the executive and legislative branches of the Government of the United States, designing and intending to set aside the rightful authorities and powers of Congress, did attempt to bring into disgrace, ridicule, hatred, contempt and reproach, the Congress of the United States, and the several branches thereof, to impair and destroy the regard and respect of all the good people of the United States for the Congress and the legislative power thereof, which all officers of the government ought inviolably to preserve and maintain, and to excite the odium and resentment of all good people of the United States against Congress and the laws by it duly and constitutionally enacted; and in pursuance of his said design and intent, openly and publicly and before divers assemblages of citizens of the United States, convened in divers parts thereof, to meet and receive said Andrew Johnson as the Chief Magistrate of the United States, did, on the eighteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, and on divers other days and times, as well before as afterwards, make and declare, with a loud voice, certain intemperate, inflammatory and scandalous harangues, and therein utter loud threats and bitter menaces, as well against Congress as the laws of the United States duly enacted thereby, amid the cries, jeers and laughter of the multitudes then assembled in hearing, which are set forth in the several specifications hereinafter written...”

What amazes me is that you haven't read the Constitution. It is SPECIFIC, that a Crime has to occur to Impeach. That is why the check of teh Senate to Verify said crime was put in place. Ignorance is a poor place to live....

It also surprises me that President Trump is not guilty of crimes someone else did over a century ago. It shouldn't surprise me, but it does. In the grand scheme of things, I guess he is as "guilty of those 'crimes'; as the current articles!

YOU CAN NOT Impeach a President, just because you hate him, THAT is just Not there!

:)>

What amazes me is that you haven't read the Constitution.

Yes, I have.

It is SPECIFIC, that a Crime has to occur to Impeach.

No, it doesn’t.

You keep claiming that things which are not facts are facts. I see no point in continuing this thread.

You need to read it again...But be careful, you start thinking and you will become a Conservative, LOL!.

Even that Idiot Pelosi Knows there is nothing here. She has painted herself into a corner, and is trying to withhold the Articles of Impeachment from the Senate! She has realized that they will verify Facts of these Articles. She knows this will finish the process; as there is Nothing there!

Here is a synopsis on High Crimes Etc. From the Constitution Society

https://constitution.org/cmt/high_crimes.htm

THEY say there Must be a crime! But I guess you are smarter than these guys too....

The question of impeachment turns on the meaning of the phrase in the Constitution at Art. II Sec. 4, "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors". I have carefully researched the origin of the phrase "high crimes and misdemeanors" and its meaning to the Framers, and found that the key to understanding it is the word "high". It does not mean "more serious". It refers to those punishable offenses that only apply to high persons, that is, to public officials, those who, because of their official status, are under special obligations that ordinary persons are not under, and which could not be meaningfully applied or justly punished if committed by ordinary persons.

Sorry both Articles are Crap, to be flushed by the Senate.
