Who is a slave
According to the English dictionary the word slave is defined as follows
A person who is the property of another person and whose labor and also whose life often is subject to the owner's volition.
A person who is legally obliged by prior contract (oral or written) to work for another, with contractually limited rights to bargain; an indentured servant.
One who has lost the power of resistance; one who surrenders to something.
Is it the name that makes a man or the man makes the name. What is the instrument that differentiates a slave from a freeborn.
Some bigot among we Africans came up with some allegation that the Europeans capture them and made them slave, they forgot it was their greedy and myopic leaders who sold them out.
We human have a peculiar character, we love to dominate in any environment we find ourselves, and nature itself has never bridge the gap among humans, some are made strong while some are weak and instead of us to compliment ourselves we choose to exploit ourselves. This is where the argument of equality and equity comes into existence but the damage still remains untamed.
I do believe in the existence of a supreme being but it just a pity the scriptures presented by the so called religions establish the fact that some are truly slaves, it is pathetic.
My conclusion goes thus, slavery is not a status ascribed to some certain person but to the person who want it, the day I knew I could influence my environment and situation in life was when I realized there is no stagnancy in life, it either you progress or retrogress.
It appalling how people feel satisfied exploiting and watching others suffer all in the name of supremacy and dominance, the so called elite lives to watch the poor die believing that is who they are, and what they are meant to be.
It is now left for the oppressed and depressed person to rewrite his story and status, John Legend in his best selling album said and I quote,"we are the generation, we can't afford to wait, the future started yesterday we are already late". Let liberate ourselves from mental slavery, that is where the real chain and shackle is, you are responsible for your station in life, never allow that chain that chained the people before you get you down too, mental slavery is where the real slavery resides.
It been a while, I am back and happier.

Change, it is going to happen. We can either try to resist it, chase it, ignore it, it does not matter what one does change is going to happen. Embrace it as a part of life, every day is new, there is always time to change, because time is always changing. Embrace change and you embrace yourself and life. Chose to change yourself, make change work for you, to do otherwise is to stagnate, and stanagition smells really bad, we have all smelled a stagnant pond of water, not something that is pleasant.
You preached to me 😭
I think that while it is helpful to be hopeful in life and to aspire to change and make your life better, sometimes it's just not possible so it can be grudgingly depressing.
