What made you ask about aircrete? is it light but strong?

Yes and yes. Just asking, it also is a good insulator.

:)>

So that will be the main building material for your shop at the new place?

For the front and back walls, yes. The sides will be tall storage containers, and I found a company that makes free span roofs designed to fit on storage containers. I can get a 40 by 50 roof installed for under $14,000. I will close the ends with the aircrete, to add insulation.

I will cut into the containers from the inside for warehouse space.

How big are the containers? That sounds like a heck of a lot of work.

The containers are 8 by 40 by 9.5 feet high! So the entire building will be 66 by 40, with an open free span of 40 by 50. It will be difficult, but not unreasonable.

There will be more actual work flattening the location first.

Why will it be more work flattening it, is it on rock? Dang how much does 40 ft containers weigh?
