It's actually so ridiculous that it makes me think CNN is deliberately playing the fall guy in this whole twilight zone scenario. Ain't no one can be that stupid...or?
It's not about them being stupid, it's about them trusting the news & authorities that hit the right identity politics buttons. It's sadly facile, but it's also primarily the fault of the one's doing the deceiving. I hazard to suggest that we'll do better waking up our fellow country people by not just insulting, disparaging & belittling them. Not an easy task, to be sure.
