I reckon you need to ask why the government of the UK has pursued this policy. I also think it's the reason you're not out of the EU yet.
You're being enslaved, and they intend to make it far more coercive. How do they plan to do this? By doing what they're doing. Inflicting intolerable harassment and sexual abuse on a defenseless people until they are so outraged they completely fill the streets and obligate the government to send in armed troops to put you in your place.
I believe they intend to do this across the EU.
How will you defend your freedom if you are unable to buy spoons without government approval? You won't. You'll be crushed just like the protesters in Tianenmen square. You're gonna need more than placards and chants to keep armed military forces from crushing your rebellion. You're gonna need more than spoons.
