In fact we are all autocrats. We are often persuaded that our principalities should go along to get along, but due to principle I long ago realized how insidious that practice is, and now look askance at every opportunity to do so.
I am a rogue state, so necessarily must undertake to establish access to goods and services through independent means. The language I have used is not accidental. Should I succeed, I shall have attained unimaginable wealth, which is what independent means is.
Survival is not an option. Should I not perish, I will thrive.

Edit: after seeing the video you linked, I am particularly aware of the application of my remarks to education. The very concept of public school is anathema to real education. How people expect it to be other than indoctrination is quite remarkable, and reveals why our IQ and brain size has decreased by ~20% in the last 20kya.
Being a joiner has been a far more important survival trait than rationally understanding anything beyond tying one's shoes.
As freedom obviates war, that will change, and the more nimbly we act in anticipation of that transcendence the better for our posterity.
