Well, looks like we did it. This is the last drawing of inktober this year and i'll drop the earlier ones too. The word of the day was ripe . I thought a field of wheat ready to be harvested was pretty good ending for the challenge. Some ancient feeling symbolism there.

31. ripe
I had set two terms for the challenge, which were to draw something figurative each day(first day can be argued) and to use only markers.
The set of markers i got did last enough to make it to the end- only a couple dried completely, but i kind of feel like they are good for five minutes after you uncap them for the first time, and then they start to whimper. The hardest part of the challenge was to put out stuff when it is not quite what you are comfortable with. You make a little mistep and try to fix that and suddenly the day turns into a night and you just have to go with it - or start over...nope. So you try to take it as fun, as much as possible and not take yourself too seriously. It was good challenge, my second one. I'm not sure if i want to do this again next year though, but i will be prepared if i do.

I've been following your drawings all this month. They're great. I think this one is among my favorites. As you said, there is "Some ancient feeling symbolism there."
Thank you
I really loved your first drawing: The simplicity of the structure and yet such wonderful detail in ring ~ pattern has a similar quality that I also love.
And your final drawing ripe is classical and elegant ~ Has something of the nature of Leonardo's wild grasses about it. Congratulations on ALL your work. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
That is so kind, thank you very much Alison
