Splinterlands Battle Mage Challenge: Lost Legendaries...

in #inleo4 days ago

This week's Battle Mage rule set challenge was Lost Legendaries in which Legendary monsters may not be used in battle!

Lost Legendaries general strategy....

This is a challenging ruleset for those with better decks who usually rely on legendaries.

The trick is knowing which splinters have the best common, rare and epic cards. To my mind that means the water splinter.

Dragon can be avoided as this relies on legendaries a lot.

Also not a bad ruleset for lower mana matches like the one below!

Lost Legendaries battle exemplar

The battle below shows water against fire, victorious!

Mana and rulesets:

  • Lost legendaries only
  • 15 mana.

Summoner - Keyla

  1. Kelp Initiate - a decent, low mana tank
  2. Ice Pixie - useful low mana damage card
  3. Mershalli Guardian - Heal
  4. Coral Wraith - my main attack card.

The battle...

  • round 1 - we trade blows for no losses
  • round 2 - I take out the rat, only 2 health!
  • round 3 - Last Stand triggers on my opponent's gamble card, but i still get a heal on the Kelp.
  • round 6 - after another couple of heals on the kelp he goes down.
  • round 7 - it's all over and I'm 3/4!

Final battle analysis

My opponent made a couple of bizarre choices - A tank with no attack, and a summoner where piercing played no role!

He relied too heavily on Last Stand, but thanks to my high health tank that just didn't work!

Lost Legendaries Final Thoughts...

It's good to mix it up without those Legs!

Totally agree bro, the Lost Legendaries ruleset really shakes things up. It's fun to see strategies shift, especially with water splinters dominating. Your analysis was spot on about Last Stand man.. epic one
