Magnetometers find submarines as some kind of anomalies in conditionally equal, stable magnetic field of Earth, but the range of their action is small. Use of quantum technologies repeatedly increases sensitivity of such detector, but together with the necessary signal it will catch also infinitely large number of noise, including echoes of solar storms. In due time in the USA eliminations of hindrances couldn't solve a problem, and here in China have, it seems, achieved positive result.
