SCARCITY
Scarcity is the absence of supply or provision. It's the breeder of famine or hunger. It is when something is not available or not affordable. It is the mother of lack and want.
CAUSES OF SCARCITY
(1) Divine Agenda: sometimes when there is a divine program, scarcity may be introduced. Gen. 42:1,2; 41:1
Your scarcity may just be your abundance in the making. Many people suffer in the days of scarcity, not because God didn't tell them it was coming but because they refused to prepare for the days of scarcity. Do not waste the days of abundance. Don't conclude yourself before God concludes you.
(2) Prophetic Interruption: 1 Kings 17. Through prophetic grace, situations can be changed or transformed
(3) The Wilderness Journey: scarcity may be part of someone's wilderness journey on the way to Canaan. Never mock a man who is on his wilderness journey. Exodus 16:1
(4) Lack of Rain: when there is no rain, there will be scarcity. Zechariah 10. Isaiah 25:10-11. There is a rain which can be activated in your life through the power in the Word of God. Survival is not comfort. Lack of rain can be cause by lack of worship/reverence of God Zechariah 14:17. Lack of rain can also be caused by demonic attack. And like already mentioned it can be part of a divine agenda.
