Intel anunció este miércoles su intención de probar una flota de un centenar de carros autónomos a partir de este año, tras la adquisición de la sociedad israelí Mobileye, especializada en sistemas anticolisión., Intel anunció que iba a probar los automóviles en Europa, Israel y Estados Unidos.
Constituir una flota "de coches y probarlos en condiciones reales permitirá unos resultados inmediatos, lo que acelerará la puesta en marcha de nuevas tecnologías y soluciones para los vehículo".
Muchos fabricantes de automóviles y sociedades tecnológicas concentran sus esfuerzos desde hace algunos años en el desarrollo de vehículos sin conductor apoyándose en programas que permiten evitar accidentes. Apple, por ejemplo, esta probando actualmente su tecnología en California.
