Like most cults, the members have no idea they're in a cult. The way technology corrals consumers into echo chambers, based on interests, creates cults. The deeper they're in, the more oblivious they are to the outside world. Any outsider stepping in, maybe even confused, asking a simple question; they're screwed. And much like cults, there are enforcers. The rest watch and feel protected. It's especially dark in some of the 'alternative news media' cults, on any and all sides of the political spectrum.
