i'm not worried about getting scammed, honestly i don't understand how anyone in today's world could have grown up not knowing such simple rules. i mean, even if you never used discord or telegram in your life, who would type any information out? and i am assuming it's not just like super old people anymore.
yeah there was someone who helped me figure a lot of stuff out. i don't actually know who delegated to me, and i guess there isn't even a way to send any kind of direct message here which i do find kinda odd. then someone gave me some other tokens too which i powered up or something.
but on DeSo, people have invested money into my profile. i don't know if you're familiar with that platform. but technically i could take the money now, and that would screw over those people who invested (cause i put $0 in and i could take more than $1000 out). i know not that many people are like me though, but i definitely feel like i need to "pay my dues" where i am first.

There's actually a chat with direct message in PeakD. It's the button just to the left of the notification bell but if that member isn't using peakD they won't see it. You can also send a wallet message. It's kind of cheezy but people send 0.001 Hive along with a message. Those can go unnoticed as well and some actually see it as 'wallet spam' and frown upon it. I think one can send encrypted messages that way as well but I can't remember how. Sometimes people will also simply send a message under an old post and talk. People do that to me anyway so I assume they do it to others. I don't mind but some people freak out if you're 'off topic', which is weird but whatever floats their boat I guess.
oh, yes, i also will frown upon this. frowns upon all of it! i toss my frowns directly at these actions.
i just know when i first started seeing values showing up in my notifications, my first instinct was to try to send a thank you message to each person. now i realize that this task would have become insurmountable lol.
