We are into the third part of series on Grapes.

  1. Acolon Grapes are a red colored grape. The Acolon Grapes are grown in the areas of Pflaz, Wruttemberg, Rheinhessen, and finally Franken Germany. Here is a picture of the red Acolon Grapes:

The wine is made from a cross between Blauer Lemberger and Dornfelder. The grape was created in 1971. The grape makes a deep red coloured wine. Wines that are made from the Acolon Grapes are best described as having a cherry, berry and spice flavors, with a subtle plum aroma generally attributed to its Dornfelder heritage The Acolon Grape creates a soft wine.

  1. Adakarasi Grapes are grown in the Marmara (Thracian) Region of Turkey. Adakarasi is a red grape variey.

The Turkish meaning of the word Adakarasi is "Island's Black". The wines production is the Avsa Island. But the Adakarasi Grapes produces in all of the Marmara Region, especially the Marmara Coast and East Thrace.

  1. Affenthaler Grapes are grown in Affental which is located in the district of Baden in Germany.

Here is a picture of the Affenthaler Grapes:

This is in Germany's southern most wine-growing regions. The grapes are grown in the Rhine Vally at the foot of the Black Forest. ‘Affentaler’ in German relates to monkeys. This is another red variety.
