The cheetah is extremely fast. However it could not be capable to outrun its own extinction. Cheetahs of four distinct sub species formerly wandered across North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. But now the cheetah exists at sub Saharan Africa as just one sub species, with a small remnant population hardly surviving in northern Iran. We aren't sure of the specific numbers, but we do understand that cheetahs are jeopardized. By the mid-70s, their population had halved. How far they have dropped since then is anybody's guess. The Sumerians, back in 3, 000 BC, was the first to utilize cheetahs as hunting companies.
