I'm very fond of the Talking Heads and Kate Bush. Cars are great. Thompson Twins had some songs I like, a lot I don't. ;-) Favorite other new wave acts include Human League, Adam & the Ants, Depeche Mode (though they transcended new wave), Ultravox, New Order..... I could go on and on.
Love Adam and the Ants and Depeche Mode. Speak n'Spell is one of the greatest 80s album IMO
It was surely a game changer. Without that album there would be no Erasure, either. (Not a big Erasure fan but they have their place!)
Thompson Twins definitely have some songs I don't like too. They went through a lot of different phases. Into The Gap was solid.
