For being my second publication, I would like to show you part of my landscapes and favorite places in my beautiful country Venezuela.

Isla de Coche is a tourist island in the south of Margarita Island surrounded by its bright white sand. These two islands, together with that of Cubagua, make up the Nueva Esparta State in Venezuela.
Coche Island has 55 km² of surface, rises to about 60 meters above sea level on the northern coast and is 11 km long (from E to O) and 6 km wide (from N to S). It does not have permanent water currents and this must be obtained from Tierra Firme through the underwater aqueduct of Margarita. Its population is concentrated in a few hamlets located on the southern coast, especially in the capital of the municipality (Municipality Villalba), San Pedro de Coche, in the Parish Vicente Fuentes. In Coche there are also the villages of El Bichar, Güinima, El Amparo, El Guamache de Coche and La Uva, the latter being the only farmhouse (about 70 inhabitants in 1990) located in the north of the island.
The name of the island comes from the indigenous word car, synonymous with deer, abundant before the arrival of the conquerors on the island; as well as rabbits, the latter still persist.
The economic part of the majority of its inhabitants is largely based on fishing whose production is sent partly fresh, or is salted on the same island by the salt that curdles in the salt mines and that in other times was transported to Tierra Firme, together with that of Araya. The exploitation of oysters, mussels and other molluscs has given rise to huge piles of shells.
The only way to get to this beautiful island and know more about it is through the following ferry services from the island of Margarita (Punta de Piedras) boats from Playa El Yaque and La Isleta, also on the island of Margarita. One of the roads was built so that it could be used as an airport for small aircraft in case of emergency, although, apparently, this has not been necessary. It also has the small Andrés Miguel Salazar Marcano Airport, and a pier.
