Greetings young Izzy,
I enjoyed reading your introduction. If you would allow me I would like to offer you one piece of advice, being that you are in what I would still call your "formative years."
Question everything and do your own research.
The education system in the U.S. leaves out quite a lot of information that the powers in the government don't want you to know so it is not taught in schools. The tedious repetitive tasks you mention are designed to keep you busy, not to teach you.
Explore on your own the history of education in the U.S., the department of education, and the foundations that created the education system for starters. You will be surprised at what you will discover and you will see that my advice may be the most valuable thing you learn in your high school years.

I hope you'll find it to your liking. I'm sure you'll generate lots of great content as you continue your studies in high school. I'm also a product of the US education system, so I remember AP courses very well. My advice is that if you learn some sort of niche information in the classes, write up a full background and exposition of it on here. It'll help your studies, and we might learn something useful!
There's a lot to learn about how Steemit works, but I'm sure if you can navigate your course work, you can figure it out. With that being said, I always give the same advice to all new Steemians, so I'll leave these tips here for you in hopes that they will help you along the way.
Familiarize yourself with the way the platform works by browsing the FAQs.
Check out the Steemit Etiquette Guide for tips on how to interact with others in the community and how to introduce yourself to everyone.
If you'd like some advice on how to make your posts great, take a look at this guide I posted about polishing your posts.
Finally, when it comes to commenting, check out this guide that will get you on the road to becoming a comment expert!
