9 years ago, I wandered onto this platform (well, not this one... but you know

This was my introduction post:
Hello, I'm Bella, Belladonna in actual fact.
Parents don't seem to think about names and the repercussions for their children, do they?
Theresa Green, Jack Goff, Willie Stroker, Ben Dover... You get the picture. Still, didn't Ben Dover write that book on Proctology?
Which reminds me... his sister wrote a book too.
100 Greatest Balcony Views - Eileen Dover
A Study In Old Furniture - Ann Teak
Snakes Of the World - Anna Conda
Ugh, enough!
As I said, Bella-Donna, kind of sweet unless you know the background of plants.
Atropa Belladonna, named for one of the three Fates in mythology, the one that cut the thread of the tapestry.
Belladonna was used in ancient times as a beautifying treatment, liquid drops in the eyes caused the pupils to dilate, making them appear more attractive, but long-term effects included death. Worth it/not worth it?
The name Belladonna is linked to an old superstition that at certain times it takes the form of an enchantress of exceeding loveliness, whom it is dangerous to look upon.
Bitter-sweet to the taste, can be lethal if distilled.
Maybe my parents got it right, after all?
#And now, I believe I may be back to play...
Hello. I have a Darkness about me that enjoys this time of year, the cool, misty mornings and the early, dark, but clear nights.
Some say the Darkness is a product of a trauma endured in childhood - and others say that I was the cause of all the trauma in my childhood - believe who you want.
My writing muscle has started to flex and I have a few projects that I would like to develop, and where better than here, on Hive.Blog, where it all began for me.
As the darkness draws in earlier each evening, we have until Yuletide before it flips and begins to grow lighter every evening (and morning, so I'm led to believe).
The tendrils of my imagination are beginning to reach forward and wrap around my storytelling ingenuity.
This afternoon, I read a few of my previous tales and they brought a smile to my lips. I especially enjoyed some of the comments.
I am a Storyteller, an Imagineer, one who will right wrongs and serve my version of Natural Justice - if only on 'paper' and through the written word.
