RE: Anonymous, WhiteList Only BidBot. Upvotes & Moderate Flags. Unique Delegator Rewards. 20K SP and Counting

in #introduceyourself6 years ago (edited)

One question, though, if i transfer 1sbd to an encrypted memo, doesnt who i send that memo to still exist in clear text?

Sure but you send the memo to @bid.bot and only @bid.bot will be able to decrypt it to cast the vote or the flag.

Wouldnt i only need to look on steemd.com/@bid.bot to know who uses the service?

Have a look there steemd.com/@bid.bot. You will see all the memos are encrypted :)

To encrypt a memo you just have to prepend #. Learn more here

But not who sent them.
Timestamps are going to be your downfall.
As they should be, if folks could earn anonymous rewards on spam how do we fight abuse?

And, it will be a cold day in hell before @curie gives me a vote, so, i guess i cant play in your game even if i didnt consider it abuse.

Any rewards not voted to an author by a noncolluding other is abuse of the rewards pool.
Any schemes to gain rewards not voted to an author is abuse.

I dont see your proposal doing anything other than rearranging the deckchairs.

Your how to page link is broken.

Just checked. Seems it is working. Which one is broken exactly?

But not who sent them.

Of course not who sent them. Memos are encrypted so you never know if the sender is willing to boost or flag a post and which one exactly. This effectively prevents flags revenges and stops front-runners from casting a crazy amount of upvotes on posts that got positive bids.

Not only @curie is listed in the curation initiatives. Also looks like you have a reputation of 65, so you can already use me. If your reputation is equal or higher than 65 you don't need to be whitelisted :)

I see you trying to obscure who bids on what, but i think anybody that really cared to out someone wont have much trouble doing it because timestamps are in the blockchain.

I dont like your scheme simply on forcing the votes i do get to be worth a little less because you act as the bully in the math for your buyers.
When they buy your power they short circuit curation.
Instead of getting rewards because the community wants them to have rewards in the amount the community thinks they deserve, they use you to take them.

When content can't get community votes you facilitate taking them.
Thanks alot, bully.

Fixed. Thanks for checking!

Fair point. The thing is Bid.Bot allows more bids from more whitelisted users on the same post. Bids can be positive or negative. The bot calculates the difference and triggers the upvote or eventually the downvote.

So the community is way more involved than in any other bot.

On top of that Bid.Bot gives credits which no other bot does. These credits are free tokens you can use to boost your posts or other posts when flagging or delegating. Practically we are giving you tokens of appreciation when you care about curating contents via Bid.Bot :)

You'll pardon me if i'm skeptical?

Of course! It is good to share feedbacks. We all improve thanks to them. Never hesitate to share more with us!
