Weird Music from a Human Person | Let's Share Some Pickles and a Few Laughs

Hello there, glad to be starting my journey in this new community. My name is Jeff, but I create comedy and video game music under the moniker Bonecage. I've been a musician for about 20 years, but I didn't get very serious about the writing/recording process until the past 10 years.

I've been trying to eek out a painful existence on YouTube for the last few years, but as many of you probably already know, it's a dreadfully censored place that has no transparency, punishes creativity, and makes communicating with the audience nearly impossible.

I dabbled some in Bitcoin/Litecoin previously, so when a friend of mine told me there's a social platform where I can post content, interact with friends/fans, and it's based on blockchain, I was freakin' sold immediately.

Now, here's hoping I don't get confused and louse it up :P

Anyways, I'm not the best at the whole on-camera thing, so a text intro will have to suffice, but hope to meet a few of you in the coming days.

BTW - as I make new stuff, I'll post it to my DTube here -

Hello bonecage! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

  1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
  2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
  3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
  4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
  5. Have Fun and Enjoy!
