Steemit Introduction, Part II (How We Roll)

Thank you for a great first week Steemit! As we dive deeper into the community, the more we enjoy it, and the more we want to share.

It can be difficult to let everyone know who you are or what you're about in just one post, especially if you have a lot to say, which according to my wife, I do.

In our first introduction post, we focused more on our business (BournAdventure.com) and what we do in terms travel. In this post, we want to talk about our goals with Steemit and how we want to help encourage others to find adventure.

Goals

  • Well written and meaningful articles
  • Inspiration to travel
  • Trips Planning
  • Entertaining pictures and videos
  • Resource for information
  • Out of the Box thinking

Types of Content

  • Trip overviews
  • Review of all the National Parks, National Monuments, observatories, museums, and state parks we have visited.
  • Pictures and videos
  • In-depth review of our adventure vehicles, which we use for road trips, overland functions, and off-road events
  • Discuss unique areas we have explored, along with hidden gems we have found while traveling
  • Highlight certain cities we have visited
  • Traveling tips
  • Information on LivingHealthy (upcoming blog from my wife)
  • Resteem helpful articles

Background

I am ex-military, and some other stuff and my wife is a college graduate who holds a degree in dietetics and currently works at a hospital.

By no means are we experts in travel, but we have visited more than 20 countries, all lower 48 states (some multiple times), and driven about 95,000 miles in road trips. While traveling, we have lived out of cars, tents and hotels (some good, some not so much). We have also had our fair share of hardships or adversities while traveling, to include a vehicle rollover.

Intention

Given our personal experiences, along with our professional backgrounds, we plan to provide informative tips, resources and other information which we believe could help make other peoples adventures safer and more enjoyable.

Steemit Success

The true meaning of success is entirely subjective and varies from person to person based on their own criteria.

For us, success here on Steemit is encouraging others to find adventure and explore the world around them. If our content can help someone plan a trip or be a source of entertainment, we have achieved our goals.

We invite you to follow along and be a part of the adventure!

Welcome to you too! Thank you for following along.

Love seeing an offroader on here!

We might convert more of us over to the Steemit platform!

What do you think their general reaction would be right now?
because I'm not certain, lot of grumpy old forum guys but plenty of ambitious young guys too

lol I agree, the older guys would not see the benefit of Steemit, but the younger crowed who wants to share their stories would enjoy the platform especially since they could potentially earn money from their content, which you and I both know would go right back into their rigs!

I was talking to @parkerboyack about this being a perfect place to write TRIP REPORTS

It is, way better than other platforms in my opinion. We plan on using this as our main site for articles and hope to bring some of our off road/overland friends here too.

welcome to steemit. I hope you will enjoy your account and keep posting your original content and the nice photos :)

We're looking forward to sharing all of our adventures and stories with everyone!
