Thank you, @askrafiki, for the kind welcome! I chose "Candy Candy" because I always get back up with a smile, even when life isn't easy, and with seven children there's plenty of practice! My interest in technology started from pure curiosity: I'm self-taught and I learn by trying things on my computer until they work.

I'll have a look at InLeo Threads for short everyday posts, thanks for the tip. What would you suggest I post there first?
