Verge - The Rise of this Anonymity Coin

Today Verge has hit it's all time high at $0.0175 USD. Verge is hyping the last couple of weeks, but why? But let's first start with some information about the project.

What is Verge?
The original project was called Dogecoindark, started in 2014 by Sunerok. It started as a hobby project to experiment with the Blockchain and privacy features. After some time, the Core Team decided it was time to rebrand Dogecoindark to something more professional as it was no longer a hobby project. Within some weeks Dogecoindark rebranded as Verge.

Verge's mission is to empower people around the world by bringing blockchain transactions into everyday life. The most interesting and promising feature of Verge is it's privacy and anonymity integrations. The transactions are quickly, efficient and privately as well as a low fee of 0.1 XVG.

Who is part of the Verge Team
There are many contributors and volunteers behind the project. The Core Team consists of:

  • Sunerok
Sunerok is the founder of Verge and is the Lead Core developer. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Network Security field and 6+ years in blockchain technology.

  • CryptoRekt
CryptoRekt is the Chief Marketing Officer for the Verge currency. He authored the Verge BlackPaper and has been a long time member of the Core Management Team. In his day job he is a Sr. Systems Engineer at Cisco Enterprises.

  • Sasha
Sasha is the Vice President of Operations for Verge. He freelances as Data Scientist and he has professional experience in IT, project management, investment banking and financial modeling. He got his Master of Science degree in Economics and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

  • Cees van Dam
Cees is the primary manager of all community channels such as Telegram, Facebook and Twitter. He is also responsible for finding volunteers to expand the project. If you have been in these channels, you've probably seen him around.

There are so much more volunteers that help Verge getting bigger and bigger, but these are currently the most noticeable.

** What is coming in the Future to the Verge project? **
This month Verge will be releasing their Wraith Protocol. Wraith Protocol is, in my opinion, one of the biggest improvements in the Privacy industry.

Verge gives the following explanation about the Wraith Protocol:
"Wraith is a technology that allows the user to seamlessly switch between public and private ledgers on the Verge Blockchain. For the first time, users are now free to choose which ledger they want to utilize."

In all cases, Verge provides a total obfuscation of IP addresses whether you use the public or the private ledger. In the Core Wallet TOR is integrated to realize this.

Below there is a visual explanation of how the Wraith Protocol works:

Another great feature for Verge is that it is in the testnet of RSK Smart Contracts. That means that Verge will support Smart Contracts, probably in Q1 of 2018. This could mean a increase of the usage of the XVG coin.

** Conclusion **
I think that 2018 will be a great year for Verge, with the Wraith Protocol and RSK Smart Contracts. Within the community there are many ideas how to spread the word about the Verge project. Yesterday John McAfee tweeted that Verge is the best buy in the Privacy-Focused space.

This was my first post on Steemit. As I am not a native English speaker, I apologize if there are some Grammar errors. If you have suggestions for me, I will be happy to hear them ;)

Good post! I like the extensive outlay of this currency. Sadly for me I was just too late buying them at bottom price :-(
But hey, you can't win 'm all!
