I think it was a brilliant move for him to remain a mystery.. Could you just imagine what the governments of the world would do to him if they knew who he was? They would search his entire house day and night and people would stalk him 24/7 and they would probably torture him into giving up his private keys... I honestly believe Satoshi was fed up with the way the bankers stole money right in front of people in broad daylight for decades with the people powerless and dying because of all their corruption.. But in the end even if we knew who he was it wouldn't really change anything anymore.. it would be a media frenzy at first but everything would die down and Bitcoin and all the other altcoins would continue growing
