RE: Who am I, what am I doing?

I would love to change things! I think you had a great comment above, and we should think about this. If you look at this user's account, they are clearly following the @meno onboarding pattern, which uses both checkinwith.xyz and distriator, and now this user went an additional step to make a post about himself.

You telling this guy about that "old rule" is not going to change the fact that @meno will do this 10 more times.

Hahahah well, in my defense. I think the current method is awesome, because it allows me to do the onboarding stupidly fast. It allows me to "make this real" for them within minutes of the account being made. We make a purchase with the money we give them. It's powerful.

So, I'm not really double dipping, per se, on the whole #introduceyourself tag. I'm simply doing in two separate posts. One, to introduce them to hive, and another one to introduce hiveans to the new user.

There... I said it!

Well written! I agree - and I hope you keep working on the workflow beyond the first 3 posts as well!

People will learn to make an exception for this case

Usually it only gets problematic when we have downvoters
And most downvoters check before downvoting.

When intentions r pure, downvoters don't poke holes
