As Eleven-O-Six racing team, we want to develop innovative paths not only in the constructive field, but also in the social media and so we have decided to participate in Steemit. This is our first step on the Steem-Blockchain and we look forward to many more together with you.
In the further course of this entry we would like to present the history, present and future views of our team.
The "Eleven-O-Six Racing Team e.V." was founded in November 2006. The founding fathers met with a small circle of racing enthusiasts on a regular basis for the first exploratory talks and planning sessions. Increasingly, they became involved at the campus and organized their own events, starting with smaller departmental meetings in the rooms of the Helmut Schmidt University, about presentations of the project at the institutes, to participation in workshops of the formula Student Germany (FSG) and international technology fairs.
These activities quickly received a great response from the relevant professorships and students, and so the founding of the racing team in November 2006 was only a logical consequence. After one month the club had already 40 active members. The number of members increased to 50 until May 2007 .
In the years 2008-2012 the team participated successfully at the Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring. With the onset of electrification in the automotive industry, we decided to construct an electrically powered vehicle for the season 2012/2013 . Unfortunately, the idea could not be successfully implemented and the additional decrease of members led almost to the dissolution of the team.
For the season 2017/2018, the team, consisting primarily of new members, made the decision to build a new car with proven technology in all circumstances. This season was characterized by many depths but above all also heights. The invested time and work was crowned at the end of the season with the successful participation in the VDE race, the Formula Student Netherlands at Assen and the Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring. With great joy we took part in the following the "Werner Rennen 2018" and may call us as part of the revenge between Brösel and Holgi.
For the coming season we will fall back on a welded tubular grid. One of the innovations will be our new 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine. We do not want to reveal more at this point, you will hear from us again and again from now on.

wir als Eleven-O-Six Racing Team möchten nicht nur im konstruktiven Bereich innovative Wege beschreiten, sondern ab sofort auch in den sozialen Medien und haben uns daher dazu entschieden auf Steemit mitzuwirken. Dies ist unser erster Schritt auf der Steem-Blockchain und wir freuen uns auf viele weitere mit euch zusammen.
Im weiteren Verlauf dieses Eintrags möchten wir daher die Geschichte, Gegenwart und auch zukünftige Ausblicke unseres Teams vorstellen.
Der „Eleven-O-Six Racing Team e.V.“ wurde im November 2006 gegründet. Die Gründungsväter trafen sich zuvor schon mit einem kleinen Kreis rennsportbegeisterter Kommilitonen regelmäßig zu ersten Sondierungsgesprächen und Planungssitzungen. Zunehmend engagierten sie sich auf dem Campus und organisierten eigene Veranstaltungen, angefangen bei kleineren Abteilungstreffen in den Räumen der Helmut-Schmidt-Universität, über Vorstellungen des Projektes an den Instituten bis hin zu Teilnahmen an Workshops der Formula Student Germany (FSG) und internationalen Technikmessen.
Diese Aktivitäten fanden schnell eine große Resonanz bei den relevanten Professuren und den Studierenden, und so war die Gründung des Rennteams im November 2006 nur eine logische Konsequenz. Nach einem Monat hatte der Verein bereits 40 aktive Mitglieder, bis zum Mai 2007 wurde ein Anstieg auf 50 Mitglieder verzeichnet.
In den Jahren 2008 - 2012 nahm das Team an der Formula Student Germany auf dem Hockenheimring erfolgreich teil. Mit der einsetzenden Elektrifizierung in der Automobilindustrie wurde für die Saison 2012/2013 der Entschluss gefasst, ein elektrisch angetriebenes Fahrzeug zu bauen. Leider konnte die Idee nicht erfolgreich umgesetzt werden und der zusätzliche Miltgliederschwund führte beinah zur Auflösung des Teams.
Für die Saison 2017/2018 fasste das Team, vorrangig aus neuen Mitgliedern bestehend, den Entschluss unter allen Umständen ein neues Auto mit bewährter Technik zu bauen. Diese Saison war durch viele Tiefen aber vor allem auch Höhen gekennzeichnet. Die investierte Zeit und Arbeit wurde am Ende der Saison mit der aus unserer Sicht erfolgreichen Teilnahme an dem VDE Rennen, der Formula Student Netherlands in Assen und der Formula Student Germany auf dem Hockenheimring gekrönt. Mit sehr viel Freude nahmen wir im Anschluss an dem „Werner Rennen 2018“ teil und dürfen uns damit als Teil der Revanche zwischen Brösel und Holgi nennen.
Für die kommende Saison werden wir wieder auf einen geschweißten Gitterrohrrahmen zurückgreifen. Eine der Neuerungen wird unser neuer 2 Zylinder 4-Takt-Motor sein. Mehr möchten wir an dieser Stelle noch nicht verraten, ihr werdet ab sofort wieder des Öfteren von uns hören.
