Guide To Creating Success On Steemit (GGG)

in #introduceyourself8 years ago (edited)

Mindful of the fact that my new friends on Steemit might not know how to get started on steemit. I've decided to share this article learned from a friend @samstickkz.
To succeed on the steemit platform, you need to have a strong desire to bring quality to the community such as good posts, comments, activities, etc.
Follow these steps I learned from somewhere (GGG):

  1. G-give quality contents (posts, upvotes, good comments) to the steemit community.
  2. G-grow quality friendships, followers and relationships on the platform.
  3. G-gain steem, steem dollars and a good reputation from the platform.

WHAT TO AVOID ON STEEMIT
NO PLAGIARISM: No copying and pasting of other people's content on the internet.
All you need to do is to be yourself. Everyone is naturally creative. This does not mean you can't use other people's images and videos, but you must cite the sources (website) and give credits to them and ensure that it is a free image or video that you can use.

HOW TO CITE A POST SOURCE
To add an image or video source,

  1. copy the URL of the image or video from your browser's address bar
  2. type [Image source](URL from your browser)
For a clearer explanation, click on "Markdown Styling Guide" just above your preview box.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO A "COPY AND PASTE" POST?
It will be detected and penalize by a bot called @cheetah , created by @anyx . This bot can detect a post copied from anywhere on the internet.
Your REPUTATION will drop when you're detected for plagiarism, which will affect your earning.
So, bring out your uniqueness in your posts. Nothing good, comes easy.

Sort:

Using irrelevant tags, especially popular tags, makes it hard to find good and relevant content.
Please try to use only relevant tags when posting!

#introduceyourself

The “introduceyourself” tag is for creating a post that tells us about you. Users are encouraged to use this tag exclusively for that, and not to reuse it.

#steemit

Please only use the “steemit” tag for articles distinctly related to Steemit, the website, itself.

Blatant misuse of tags is spam. Spam is discouraged by the community and may result in action from the cheetah bot.

Great! I'm learning every day. I've removed the #steemit tag, but the #introduceyourself tag can't be removed. Probably it's because it's the first tag. @steemcleaners, I really appreciate your guide. I'm following you already, and I'll like to learn other actions that could be regarded as spamming so as to avoid them. Thanks.

Add one more thing.
Do not spam introduceyourself tag like this post.
Leave that tag for newbies.

Correction noted. Thanks to Steemians like you who take out time to caution others. @dbdecoy, I'm following you already.

Great post, I don't share your belief that everyone can be creative, or at least is willing to be creative, but well that everyone has something to share with the community!

You're right. But remember that every post is born out of creativity. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
