The Aceh Fishing Tournament itself is divided into two categories: traditional fishing with live and dead shrimp and fish bait, and casting categories - fishing with toys like minnow, popper, and metal jig.
Determination of champion in each class and the overall champion who is entitled to Rotating Cup of Mayor of Banda Aceh based on the biggest / toughest fish that the participants have attracted, with minimum weight of 5 grams of fish. The committee also provides prizes in the form of coaching funds worth millions of rupiah and a number of other attractive prizes from Shimano.
