Well I am going to be 55 this month, I have lived in Honduras for most of my life except for the first 7 months of my life, as I was born in what was then British Honduras now Belize, in 1961, 5 weeks after I was born hurricane Hattie struck Belize City destroying 70% of the buildings and killing at least 300 people. Because of this the capital was moved from Belize City to Belmopan which is far from the sea. Of course I was not conscious of this and am just telling you what I heard from my family.
My family was from Honduras and we moved back in April 1962, and I have been here since then. The country is quite nice mostly mountainous, some good sized valleys and a few very pretty islands. I have lived in many places here and currently reside in La Ceiba which is port city with about 275000 inhabitants.
Currently I am unemployed after working for about 25 years for Standard Fruit a subsidiary of Dole Food Company. I am trying Steem to meet people, acquire some new ideas and knowledge and if possible to make some money.
I guess this about wraps up my introduction, not too interesting but I guess it's enough so you can have an idea about me.
Welcome Honduras.
Welcome!
