So I have been seriously lacking in posting on here. I actually just went through the process of moving halfway across the country so my life has been just a wee bit of a mess! So here's my official introduction.
My name is Heather Isquith and I am a photographer. Photography has been a major passion of mine ever since I was a little girl. I remember playing around with disposable cameras and taking pictures of anything and everything. I like to believe I have a unique outlook on the world, my photography is my way of giving the world a glimpse through my eyes.
My main focus is nature and landscape photography. I am a firm believer in stopping to smell the roses and I love snapping some shots while I'm at it. Most of my images come from my own backyard, whether it's photos from my garden or being blessed by mother nature herself.
I recently just moved from the big city of Las Vegas to a tiny little town on the border of Arkansas and Missouri. Everyone thought I was insane but I haven't been happier! I absolutely adore being surrounded by nature, with the exception of mosquitoes, but that's just one small sacrifice for the ability to wake up in the middle of this gorgeous scenery.
Currently I shoot mainly with my smartphone. I do occasionally get the courage to break out my film camera but the cost of film and development keep me from shooting with it as much as I would like. I did have a wonderful DSLR setup but fell upon some financial hardships so I sadly I had to part ways with it. I don't currently have any plans of investing in another digital setup as I would greatly prefer progressing further in film. I just love the look of film over digital.
That's just a lil bit of information on what I have to offer the community. I am always 100% open to any constructive criticism any of you have to offer and I would love to hear any pointers on how to better help the site progress. I am also open to any recommendations and a completely open book. Thank you if you actually took the time to read through this and I greatly look forward to watching this site grow and flourish.
